November the 20th.

First paper for the semester. heh

My last paper will be on the 28th, 1130 hrs.

As always, am nervous for my Bio paper. Oh what's new.

Before I know it, I'll turn 22. With lotsa grey hair sprouting right after my last paper, 2 days later.

of the dread

..exams. 'nuff said.

Apparently when I went to look for a guide for somethingsomething and that after numerous calls made to N and H, it was 'A guide to (ehem..pardon me..) liverworts and hornworts of Singapore' and 'A guide to the ferns of Singapore', I found myself overwhelmed with a 'mother' of all guides on one whole shelf!!!

There were..and still ARE..A guide to (here we go):

-Orchids in Singapore

-Mangrove in Singapore 1

-Mangrove in Singapore II

-carnivorous plants (which I asked Isnin what's the plant name on the cover is and he said it's a pitcher plant, but being the so-called smarty plant student, I snobbishly said it's a Venus flytrap..and then he flipped open the book and showed me the REAL and CORRECT picture of the Venus flytrap and then I was ashamed for a while that this 3rd year NTU Environmental Engineering cum part-timer Kino assistant bookstore just outsmarted me)

-Insects and somethingsomething

-Herbs and spices

-Butterflies in Singapore

-Echinoderms in Singapore

And a whole lot more..all stamped with the proud Singapore Science Centre logo at the front. And guess what...there was only 2 liverworts guide books left and that I had to buy a third one for H but then N asked me first..and then my sweetheart kino boy went to the counter and checked and turned out that there are SUPPOSED to be THREE of them!

So, this Kino boy of mine (0nce a Kino boy, always a Kino boy)said sarcastically that the 3rd one can't be found because some people, like me, love to place the book anywhere and anyhow when we decided not to buy it, hence the 'disappearance'. You know they say...what goes around comes around..and I just tasted my medicine yesterday. suweeet.

And I just realised there were SO MANY copies of other guide titles, but the liverworts were just, errr, 2? Tsk tsk..must be our people who bought them lah. The guides are not applicable to Kino staff discount but anyway, there are very cheap so it's only fair they aren't subjected. If not, who would want to finance the hardwork to put together such guide books =)

H called me again to tell me that there's a book version for 'The Private Life of Plants' and my Kino boy did a check with his colleague and it was out of stock. -_-"..no marks for guessing guys!

And one more thing, some people are quite selfish as to grumble that they do not have time for 'stuff' as they have a lot of exams compared to last year. Hello? We the secondary track people are way worse then you guys, so please stop being selfish and stop whining about having more than 2 papers, thank you. You are going to be a teacher soon. So please grow up.

Oh and awak, sorry for the embarassing moment at the cashier. Oh and don't worry, your colleagues will only get to disturb you up till 31st December. But please remember that you may be subjected to further jokes when we decided to pay Kino a visit next year for more of my academic and ehem...personal books. *gigglessss*

of Raya 2007

Ah finally. An update.
Raya this year is happening for me as last year...you know what. hehe.
So the first day saw me in Orange.

We will take the same location and style of family picture every year since we have a digital camera. Heh.

Then at Mak Long's (dad's side) house. Never seen her for years actually.

And this is my last stop at Woodlands. That's granny from my mum's side.

The 2nd day of Raya saw me at Changi Beach, seining the sea for treasures (yeah yeah. sad right). And for my turn to sein, my friends and I gotten seahorse, starfish and crabs! We even got horseshoe crab from other people. wee.

On the same night, Sayang came to my house and I visited his in turn. ehem. with my achy thighs due to too much seining during the day. ehem ehem. But no pictures for that night. But we wore the same clothes again on the following Saturday when we went to his sister's house and his friends.

Us and his nephew and niece. ^-^

The following Sunday the 21st see me visitng with the NIE babes. Pictures below taken outside Diana's condo and her house. The nicest ones among the gazillion pictures we took.

Then on random weeknight visits, me and NTU gang visited my house, with him and then his house, and another friend's house. Someone came to my house twice and 'bribed' 20 bux to my mum and 4 bux to my siblings on his first SOLO visit. but none for me.... oh and I visited his twice too. -_-"

Liyana (in green above) was psyched as she saw some cute kuih at Sayang's house. So I took them shots and did it beautifully. =). See below...

Yesterday I have finally visited my Dad's house as he went to Malacca on the first day of Hari Raya. ANd supposedly I should go visitng today but decided to stay at home for school catchups. But I am still busy watching CSI. heh.

So no more Hari Raya till next year.
